Tripsacum floridanum
Known as Florida gamagrass, this warm-season perennial bunchgrass grows 2–4 ft tall. Forms dense clumps with wide leaf blades and produces flowering spikes with distinctive purple and yellow spikelets. Native to Florida and adapted to moist soils; provides excellent wildlife habitat.
